Shelly then obtained her Masters of Science in Law from Champlain College. Shelly has worked at the firm since 1998 and plays a critical role in the operation of the practice. She is a notary public, a member of the American Association for Justice, and a member of the Vermont Association for Justice.

Lori Howard, paralegal at Van Dorn, Curtiss & Rousseau, PLLC, completed her undergraduate studies at Vermont Technical College and obtained her certificate in paralegal studies through Woodbury College. Lori has more than 18 years experience working as a paralegal.

Shelby Harris, legal assistant at Van Dorn, Curtiss & Rousseau, PLLC, has worked at the firm for more than 9 years. She also is a Licensed Nurse Assistant and received this certification from Riverbend Career and Technical Center. She uses her medical knowledge to assist our clients through all stages of their claims, including obtaining relevant medical referrals and handling complicated medical billing issues. Shelby has also completed relevant coursework in Communications through the Community College of Vermont and Paralegal Studies through Franklin Pierce University.

John Thebodo, intake specialist/receptionist at Van Dorn, Curtiss & Rousseau, PLLC, has worked at the firm since 2014. John received his Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies from New Hampshire Technical Institute. He is a notary public. John enjoys continuing his pursuit of higher education and spending time with his family.
Dawn Burleson, paralegal at Van Dorn, Curtiss & Rousseau, PLLC, is the newest member of our firm. Dawn received her Associate's Degree in Arts with a Paralegal Certificate from Granite State College. She is a Justice of the Peace. Dawn is also an avid motorcycle rider and is a motorcycle rider coach for the State of New Hampshire.
