A Pelham car accident involving a single vehicle claims the lives of a man and woman after they were ejected from their vehicle. The incident took place at approximately 12:30 on Sunday morning, April 24, 2011, in southern New Hampshire.
According to officials, a Nissan Maxima was found overturned on Balcom Road in Pelham. The man and woman were ejected from their vehicle. Rescue crews transported the two to local hospitals where they were pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident.
The victims have been identified as Daniel Quintiliani, 31, of Pelham and Kristen Lindt, 26, of Derry, according to Sgt. Michael Pickles.
The exact cause of the early-morning accident was not made known. However, police believe that excessive speed may have played a role in the singe-vehicle crash.
Sgt. Pickles said that the car went off the road, went back onto the road, crossed it, and hit a low retaining wall before flipping over into the roadway.
The fatal Pelham car accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Police have presumed that both victims were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
This is a tragic accident, and we would like to extend our thoughts and condolences to the victims' family and friends during the difficult time.
