Richmond Car Accident Leaves One Woman Injured

A Richmond car accident involving two vehicles leaves one woman injured after two vehicles leave a Vermont roadway. The incident took place at approximately 10:30 AM on Thursday morning, April 7, 2011, along Interstate 89, near the Richmond area.

According to authorities, two cars were traveling southbound along Interstate 89 when the vehicles left the road. One of the vehicles flipped at least one time leaving a female driver trapped in her vehicle.

Vermont State Police and fire crews responded to the two-vehicle wreck. Rescue crews had to extract the female driver from her car and transport her to a local hospital. The extent of her injuries, as well as her condition, was not immediately made available. However, she was reported as being alert at the scene of the accident. Fortunately, there were no other injuries reported in the auto accident.

The two-vehicle Richmond rollover car accident is still under investigation by local authorities. The exact cause of the accident and what caused the vehicles to leave the roadway has yet to be determined. The identities of those involved were also not made available.
