The other day I spoke to a potential client about an auto accident case where his wife contracted Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy also known as Compartmental Regional Pain Syndrome. The family was represented by another law firm but I think I was able to put the client at ease. After the conversation he sent me the following email. I am reproducing it in its entirety below to answer the question that so many people ask about why we take so much time and effort to provide detailed information on our website. Here is the email:
"Dear Mr. Van Dorn;
I came across your website in search for legal advice for my wife who developed CRPS/RSD due to an automobile accident. We already had legal representation, but as with getting a second medical opinion, I wanted to get a second legal opinion on her case.
Upon visiting your website, I found the amount of literature that you have written and provided astonishing. Your document 'Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) Compartmental Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)' was a great read and I found it very informative. As I explored your other library articles, I learned a lot about various topics, but one that stood out to me was the 'Choosing a Lawyer for a Personal Injury Claim'. This article alone is worth it's weight in gold. While we already had an attorney for our automobile accident case, we did it based on a recommendation from another client of theirs. As our case evolved and my wife's condition became diagnosed, I started to do research on the condition and realized I needed to get a second opinion on our legal matters from another skilled attorney who is familiar with CRPS/RSD. I contacted your firm with the hopes that I could set my mind at ease that we are with a good attorney, or realize that we need a new one. It was a pleasure talking with someone who, even though we are not a client, were treated as if we were one. You listened to our concerns, and helped set our minds at ease that we are with a good attorney and you would do the same if it were your case. I wish there were more people like you out there.
This made my day.
