SNOWMOBILE ACCIDENTS KILL THREE IN LAST THREE WEEKS

In the past three weeks three women have been killed in separate snowmobile accidents. These incidents dramatically demonstrate how dangerous the sport can be. Just like with other motor driven vehicles there are rules and safety practices that snowmobile riders must obey. Snowmobile riders who Violate these rules and safety practices and cause serious injury or death may be responsible for the harm they cause. The women who were killed are Jessica Bolognani, 18, of Readsboro Vermont. See the Rutland Herald  story for more information on this tragedy. Also killed on Dec. 31, was Kristen T. Bednar, of East Patchogue, N.Y. see the Boston Herald story for more. Finally the last tragedy occurred when Rhea Parker, 46, was killed when her snowmobile she was a passenger on  left a trail in Eden Vermont. See the Burlington Free Press article for more. All of these tragedies could have been prevented. In many  cases those responsible for causing fatal snowmobile accidents may face criminal and civil liability.
