We are all familiar with the problems that Toyota has been facing with the safety of several of its models. Now Toyota is dealing with another challenge with certain Lexus models.

If you are driving a 2010 Lexus GX 460, then you should be aware of a new report issued by Consumer Reports (CR) magazine.

The recent report published by Consumer Reports indicated potential dangers that the Lexus GX 460 may pose to drivers.  The magazine’s report cited that the GX 460 has an unusually high risk of rolling over during turns.

“When pushed to its limits on a handling course on CR’s test track, the rear of the GX CR purchased slid out until the vehicle was almost sideways before the electronic stability control system was able to regain control,” according to Consumer Reports.

Following the report, Toyota requested that all dealers temporarily suspend the sales of all 2010 GX 460’s.  That gave Toyota time to conduct its own tests on the GX model to identify how they might make the model’s performance better.

Toyota ended up recalling the vehicles. The software that will fix the problem will be made available to GX 460 owners by the end of April.
