Vermont Man Injured Industrial Accident
A Vermont man was severely injured in an industrial accident while working in New York. The 57-year-old victim was working for a power line contractor when the crane he was working near became energized during a thunderstorm.
The crane then energized the ground around it, setting the man on fire. Workers used fire extinguishers to put out the burning clothing.
Fire rescue personnel worked to treat the man before he was transported to Albany Medical Center. First aid was administered on the scene.
The incident occurred in East Greenbush, New York.
