Serious Accident on I-93 in New Hampshire Blamed on Unsafe Lane Change
The unsafe lane change has been cited as the primary cause of a serious car accident that left the driver seriously injured. Authorities report that Martin Legg, 53, of Bow spun out of control, crossing the median into the northbound lane of Interstate 93. Before crossing the Interstate his vehicle struck another car.
Federick Aumann of Hooksett, New Hampshire was not hurt in the accident and her vehicle sustained only minor damage, according to police.
Legg was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle during the accident. He was transported to Parkland Medical Center in Derry where police say that Legg is expected to recover from his injuries.
The left lane of I-93 northbound between Exit 3 in Windham and Exit 2 in Salem was closed for about 40 minutes as crews worked at the scene of the accident.
Though no charges have yet to be filed, officers say that they have found Legg to be at fault. Authorities are waiting for him to recover before taking any action.
