Drunk Driver Hit Police Cruiser
Drunk driving is dangerous for the driver, pedestrians and any other vehicle on the road. While police know this all too well one officer had a close call with a drunk driver Saturday night.
A pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Robert Grenon of Salem, NH hit a Portsmouth police officer's cruiser. The officer was inside the vehicle and was treated and released from a local hospital. His vehicle suffered significant front-end damage during the crash.
The driver was unharmed in the accident and is facing a charge of driving while intoxicated. Grenon was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail.
