Vermont Tractor Accident Kills NH Man
A Wilton, New Hampshire man was killed over the weekend in a tractor accident. The accident occurred at his getaway home in Vermont.
Bruce “Bika” Bakaian, 58, was tending to hay fields when the weight of a hay rake tipped over his tractor as he was trying to make a sharp turn at the bottom of a hill. Bakian was killed by the weight of the machine.
Bikian, a long-time resident and business owner in Wilton (he started Cutting Tool Technologies in 1985), had owned the property in Vermont with his wife for the last ten years.
“He was restoring the land,” his wife said. “It was a great place to get away. It was a great place to hunt. [He] called it ‘Hunters R Us.’”
Bakaian was an outdoorsman who liked hunting and fishing, and riding ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles. He was also a Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam, and the recipient of two purple hearts.
Our sympathies go out to all those affected by this accident.
