Tragic fatal accident on route 4 in salisbury nh

Another fatal accident on Route 4 in Salisbury NH underscores the need for driver safety. On 01/10/2010 a Toyota Corolla driven by Kayla Martel lost control and struck a pick up truck head on. Alexis Gendron age 18 of Manchester, New Hampshire, the front seat passenger, was killed in the accident. The two passengers seated in the rear of the Toyota were ejected from the vehicle and were identified as: Michael Ellis age 19 and Christopher Cheney-Rolfe age 21 both of Penacook, New Hampshire. Following the accident, Martel and Ellis were transported to the Concord Hospital, while Cheney-Rolfe was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center with life threatening injuries. The New Hampshire State Police investigated the accident and issue a press release carried by the Nashua Telegraph.
This tragic accident again underscores the need for driver safety, espicially as regards young drivers. Also questions of legal responsibility are raised by this kind of accident. Every driver has responsibility to maintain control of their vehicle, even in inclement weather. When a vehicle crosses over a center line and hits another vehicle head on, in most cases it is because the driver breached their responsibility to maintain proper control This creates legal liability to those injured or killed as a result of the accident.
