Pittsford Pedestrian Accident Involves Feuding Couple

A Pittsford pedestrian accident involving a feuding couple leaves one injured and another facing charges after a woman allegedly hit her boyfriend with her car and then drove off. The incident took place on Sunday, March 13, 2011, along Stevens Road.

According to Vermont State Police, a couple had been arguing when the boyfriend exited the car and started walking along Stevens Road. That is when the girlfriend, Cassandra Keyes, 22, of Sudbury, drove behind him and struck him with her vehicle and then fled the accident scene. The force of the impact caused him to flip backward and land in a snow bank.

The boyfriend sustained a cut on his head and a possible ankle injury. The identity of the boyfriend and his medical condition were not immediately made available.

Police eventually located Ms. Keyes at her home. Officials were also able to locate the vehicle, which showed signs of possible impact damage. Ms. Keyes faces aggravated assault and leaving the scene of the accident charges.

The Pittsford accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Police have indicated that the accident was witnessed by another driver.
