Charlotte Car Accidents Sends 3 To Hospital
A Charlotte car accident involving four vehicles sends three people to the hospital. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon, December 23, 2010, along U.S. 7 at Ferry Road.
According to local authorities, the four vehicles, which included two Subaru Forrester SUVs, a sedan and a commercial van, collided on U.S. 7. The exact cause of the accident was not immediately made known. However, officials believe that slippery road conditions contributed to the multi-vehicle wreck.
Shelburne police and Vermont State Police responded to the accident.
The van with a side that read “Lifetech Equipment Companies” had gone off the road. The van did not have any apparent damage as a result of the collision.
Three people were injured in the crash. Some had to be extricated from one of the SUVs. Rescue crews transported the three victims via ambulance to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.
Details concerning their injuries were not immediately released. However, it is believed that one of the victims was listed in serious condition. Their identities were not made known.
The four-vehicle Charlotte car accident is still under investigation by local authorities. It is not yet known as to what caused the accident or who may have been at fault.
