Deadly Stratham Car Accident Involves School Bus
A Stratham car accident involving a school bus claims the life of one person after a car slams into the bus. The incident took place just after 7:00 AM on Friday morning, March 4, 2011, along Winnicut Road.
According to investigators, the driver of a car lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a school bus on the New Hampshire Road. The driver of the car has been identified as Janelle Hamilton, 25, of Exeter. Unfortunately, Ms. Hamilton lost her life due to injuries sustained in the accident.
Investigators report that there were no children on the bus at the time of the collision. It did not appear that anyone else was injured.
Details concerning the crash were not immediately made available. However, investigators believe that weather may have played a role in the crash.
“Preliminarily, we think that weather was a predominant factor and cause of the accident,” an official said. “She received significant injuries in the accident. She was trapped in her vehicle and died at the scene.”
The fatal Stratham car accident is still under investigation by local authorities.
