Subaru Issues Recall in New Hampshire and Vermont
Subaru has issued a recall for over 630,000 vehicles in states including New Hampshire and Vermont. The recall stems from the risk of corroded break lines that may cause leaks and make brakes ineffective when they come into contact with saltwater.
States impacted by the recall are those where salt is used to clear roadways in wintertime. According to the company, the vehicles involved in this recall need to be treated with rust-proofing and anti-corrosion wax before they are safe for driving in what it has dubbed the “salt states.” No injuries have been linked to this particular vehicle defect as of yet.
Vehicles impacted by this recall are:
- Forester model years 2009-2013
- Impreza model years 2008-2011
- Impreza WRX/STI model years 2008-2014
- Outback model years 2005-2009
- Outback Legacy model years 2005-2009
If you have one of these models you are encouraged to contact your Subaru dealer for a cost-free correction of the problem.
