OSHA Standards Violations
OSHA has released its top ten standards violations report for FY 2014. Three of the top ten standard violations: fall protection, scaffolding, and ladders, were linked exclusively to construction sites. The remaining seven: hazard communication, reparatory protection, powered industrial trucks, control of hazardous energy, electrical wiring, machinery and machine guarding, and electrical system designs are not specific to the building trades, but certainly play a role in daily operations. In other words, all ten of the most frequent standards violations cited by OSHA in 2014 had at least some relation to the construction industry.
