43 Million Expected to Travel for the 4th of July
AAA predicts 43 million people will travel more than 50 miles from their homes to celebrate this Fourth of July weekend. Running from Thursday, June 30th throughout Monday, July 4th, AAA reports that 84% of those traveling will be doing so exclusively by car. This is a 1.2% increase over last year and is consistent with the general increase in travel that is expected during the summer of 2016.
As always, with increased traffic comes increased risks, and a greater demand for courteous and intelligent driving. You can do your part to keep the roads safe by refraining from drinking and driving, turning your cellphone off when you get into your car, following all traffic rules and regulations, and allowing extra time to get to your destination. These easy and painless steps can go a long way in helping ensure you and those you love arrive safely at your chosen destination – ready to celebrate the birth of our glorious nation.
You can help prevent car accidents by behaving responsibly. You cannot make others do the same. If you are injured or a loved one is killed by a reckless or negligent driver this July 4th weekend, our New Hampshire car accident lawyers can help you get justice.
